GROUP SUSTAINABILITY SPECIALIST -OPERATIONS AND REPORTING

From Shinkansen high speed railway in Japan, to Burj Khalifa in UAE, to NASAs space probe, to a Norwegian roller coaster to offshore wind turbines. Do you have a strong background and passion for the sustainability transformation of the private sector? Then you might be the person we are looking for! We are now expanding our sustainability team and are looking for a Group Sustainability Specialist. 

You will join our inspiring journey from our headquarters, located in the heart of Malmö. This position reports to the Chief Sustainability Officer and is part of a global sustainability network with members in Malmö and at our production sites and sales offices across the globe, with the ambition to support, challenge and develop each other on a daily basis.  

 

The role as Group Sustainability Specialist 

Our challenge is to bring all co-worker’s knowledge, curiosity and entrepreneurism into contributing to the sustainability transformation of our company and the market where we operate. As our Group Sustainability Specialist your mission will be to develop and drive Nord-Lock Group’s sustainability programme together with our Chief Sustainability Officer. Your focus will be on improvement projects, sustainability reporting and performance analysis. 

 

Your responsibilities will be to: 

  • Drive and develop monitoring and reporting processes including digitalization of sustainability KPIs and information related to for example Scope 3, CSRD, SBTi, EU Taxonomy, CSDDD and other external requirements on us directly or through our owners; 
  • Offer support for various sustainability projects, guiding our Business Unit’s sustainability teams to plan, execute, and report on sustainability initiatives as part of our Continuous Improvement Process; 
  • To synthesize complex sustainability data into actionable insights, analyse large datasets, maintain systems of record and provide valid information to internal/external stakeholders; 
  • Audit compliance and drive quality assurance in regards to sustainability performance, monitoring and reporting; 
  • Support companywide collaborative initiatives through project management, technical advisory, and coordination and engagement for meetings, calls, workshops, trainings, presentations and events; 
  • Chair the HQ/Central Functions sustainability network; 
  • Manage the Sustainability Intranet and the Resource Hub for practitioners 
  • Keep abreast with emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvements inside our organization and with external stakeholders.

Your profile 

You have a solid understanding of sustainability matters and how those multifaceted aspects apply to a manufacturing company. You have a deep insight in the sustainability reporting landscape and hold yourself up to date with latest standards and methodologies. You have experience of working in an international environment with reporting and concrete improvement projects on a production site level. 

As a person you are embracing change with a drive to develop and improve your task at hand. You have an analytic mindset, are good with numbers while also having networking & project management skills from being an efficient communicator. In your way of working, you are an independent team player with a structural approach. 

 

Requirements 

  • Master’s degree in Engineering/Environment/Sustainability/Safety or other suitable degree 
  • Several years of experience, preferably with a background within the manufacturing sector 
  • Experience from working with concrete improvement projects related to sustainability 
  • Experience in either Scope 3 data management, the SBTi process, Life Cycle Assessments calculations or Supply chain sustainability risk management would be an advantage 
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English language 
  • Good skills in spoken and written Swedish language
