NORD-LOCK SC WASHERS IN THE JUNKER TEST

The Junker test (according to DIN 65 151) is the most severe vibration test for bolted joints. It is used to compare different securing methods under transverse displacements while continuously measuring the clamping force between the structural parts. The preload is crucial to hold the parts together and prevent loosening - otherwise the bolted joint would fail.

We will be happy to send you the following documents on request:

General building authority approvals:

  • ETA-19/0813: Nord-Lock wedge-lock washers for non-preloaded bolted connections (DIN EN 15048)
  • ETA-20/0010: Nord-Lock SC wedge-lock washers for (scheduled) preloaded bolted joints (DIN EN 14399-4/-8)
  • Declaration of performance – DOP
